LONDON PARTICIPANTS
This year there will also be 8 places available for the London modules only, at
a reduced cost (see 'How Much Does
It Cost')
The places will be allocated at the discretion of the Inside Pictures Management.
The usual selection criteria apply but applicants for these places may have less
than 5 years experience in the film industry. The management will select London Participants
in their sole discretion based on forming a complimentary group from a range of
backgrounds. These participants will not take part in the LA module or the project
work.
Past Participants have said:
Christopher Billows, Head of Media Ventures, Orchard Capital Partners LLP
“You can never have enough understanding of the other business areas that impact
upon your own. Inside Pictures immerses you with your immediate peers, and with
very senior executives, who will equip you with this knowledge.”
Rachel Robey, Producer, LONDON TO BRIGHTON and BETTER THINGS
“If you get turned down once, keep applying. Competition is tough as highly experienced
people want to go on the programme. But persevere. It’s an amazing experience if
you get accepted.”
Stefan Demetriou, VP, Visual Content Strategy & Acquisition, EMI UK
“Coming from a large company, it was really helpful to hear the perspectives of
independent producers trying to get projects off the ground. It has completely changed
the way that I will manage some of my relationships in the future. I can understand
much better where people are coming from.
Inside Pictures has provided me with the perfect road map to take my career to the
next level.”
Ken Marshall, Producer, LONDON TO BRIGHTON and THE COTTAGE
“I’d heard about Inside Pictures over several years, but initially felt that it
was out of my reach, both in terms of financial cost and experience. However, after
producing my second feature I felt that now I was ready to apply, and found out
about the bursaries that are available thanks to Skillset’s funding of Inside Pictures.”
Gemma Spector, Head of Distribution, CinemaNX
“Make sure you can really give sufficient time. As well as the three modules there
is a number of extracurricular activities such as the final project, book club evenings
and lots of extra reading, which all enhance the experience but do they do take
up lots of time.”
